Lot 17 Vintage Reed Relays Glass Switches, 40 Reeds Security? Read
I am downsizing and these are vintage reed relays I was saving.
There are a total of 40 glass reed switches normally open.
There are 17 relays and the end pops off easy to remove or replace reed inside.
Voltages are  unknown, so I am noting coil resistance on them.
3 Are 6 packs (one not shown ) Coil is 1K ohms.
1 Is a 4 pack 2.68K ohm coil.
6 Are dual 1.58K ohms coil, (one is empty)
7 Are singles 6.98K coils.
1 Loose reed.
SECURITY uses
It is easy to hide a reed in molding on a window, with a magnet on the sash.
Steps will always flex a little when adults walk up and down. I put a reed on a post nest to steps, and it would close when they walked down.
Floors on center may flex on center enough when a adult walks across, a reed on a long board just under floor would close  also.
There are many ways to discretely detect people moving, without false trips from small animals, and small children.
